About Foton

Foton Motor was founded on 28 August 1996 and is headquartered in Beijing. Its range covers light and heavy trucks, vans, pick-ups, buses and construction machinery — with both conventional and new-energy powertrains.

Foton has grown into one of the world’s largest commercial-vehicle manufacturers. It works through joint ventures including Beijing Foton Cummins Engine (since 2008), Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive (since 2012) and Foton ZF (since 2017) to build more efficient, safer and connected vehicles.

Alongside diesel and petrol, Foton also develops electric, hybrid and hydrogen solutions for the commercial segment. The new-generation Tunland G7 pairs double-wishbone front suspension — car-style — with a robust rear axle. That delivers precise steering response and load capacity for bed and cab, with comfort closer to an SUV than a bare work truck.
